This project was a competition in which Schapiro Associates joint ventured with the office of Ricardo Legorreta to design a new regional public library, a parking garage and a park to connect the Cultural Art Center between themselves and the ocean.

This library is part of the Cultural Art District consisting of the library, the Bass Art Museum and the Miami City Ballet.The design created its own image and identity with the use of colors, form and scale; resulting on a happy, inviting and human building which makes the visitors leave the library with a feeling of ownership and the desire to come back.
